Dear Parents/Guardians,
Our first week together went very well. We focused on getting to know each other and learning when to put our masks on and when to take them off, going to the washroom, and doing our agenda notes. We started our Science Unit on apples by talking about things we know about apples and things we want to learn. The morning students got to paint apples on Friday and the afternoon students will get their turn this upcoming Friday.
This week we will be starting to practice writing by learning different strokes. We will be sending home a blue scribbler every day with the type of line/stroke we learned that day and we ask that you help your child slowly practice it at home. We ask that you practice one line with your child each evening and do it slowly and carefully using the vocabulary on the printout we will be sending home as well. Think of it as a practice to our upcoming homework which will start in October. Enjoy J
We will also be talking about our Social Studies Unit: All About Me. This week we will do art and writing/labelling activities about ourselves.
If you haven’t sent your child all black indoor shoes please do so this week. These shoes should be labelled with your child’s name and will remain at school.
Some new important upcoming dates:
Friday, Sept. 11: Afternoon Group comes to school 9:10-1:00pm
Monday, Sept. 14: Picture Day
